The brief

Mithril is a cryptographic infrstructure protocol within the Cardano ecosystem designe to enable fast, secure, and trustless verification of blockchain state without requiring full node synchronization.

The project leverages stake based threshold multi-signatures produced by Cardano Stake Pool Operators (SPOs) to allow lightweight clients, wallets, applications and infrastructure services to verify Cardano data efficiency and independency.

The scope of this projects includes improving Mithril adoption, simplifying SPO onboarding, enhancing certificate chain performance and scalability, and exploring succinct proof technologies such as recursive zk-SNARKs to reduce verificationn and storage costs accross the ecosystem.

What we did

Every milestone comes with a clear description of what needs to be delivered and how it’ll be judged. When the proposer submits their work, here’s what happens:

Our reviewers look at the actual evidence — code, documentation, test results, demos — and checks it against those specific criteria. They confirm the work genuinely delivers what the milestone promised, not just something adjacent to it. The reviewers have no ties to the delivery team, the stakeholders, or Intersect itself, so the opinion is genuinely independent.

Once the review is done, a written report is produced summarizing the findings. If anything falls short of the criteria, that gets flagged to both the delivery team and Intersect right away, so it can be fixed to be reviewed once more. The whole review wraps up with a signed form — Intersect’s Milestone Acceptance Form — stating the final conclusion and signature.

Outcome

Concrete, checkable results. Numbers over adjectives.
